Our Story

Magnus Ventures, along with its affiliated companies, has a mission to enhance the availability of equity capital for promising, early-stage businesses in the MENAP region (Middle East, North Africa, and Pakistan). Their primary focus is on assisting new and emerging entrepreneurs who have faced challenges in securing early-stage funding. By doing so, they bridge the equity availability gap that often hinders the growth of these startups.

Having already invested in and provided support to 14 early-stage companies spanning various industries, Magnus Ventures takes a distinctive approach to venture capital. They are deeply committed to democratizing access to venture capital for entrepreneurial talent that is frequently overlooked and lacks adequate funding opportunities. Their goal is to empower innovators with groundbreaking and game-changing ideas, ultimately fostering innovation and economic growth in the MENAP region.

Founded by Ashraf Kalim and Zain Moosa, Magnus Ventures benefits from the extensive experience of these two entrepreneurs in angel and venture capital investing, both on a global scale. Their combined expertise, spanning more than two decades, positions them well to identify and nurture promising startups, driving positive change and innovation in the entrepreneurial ecosystem they serve.
